Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Tuesday sharpened attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging U turn in Bangladeshi and land deal issues.
Participating in a debate in the day two of the assembly’s winter session, Gogoi criticized Modi for his poll promises that the Bangladeshi infiltrators would have to leave Assam after May 16.
He further attacked Modi for 'U-turn' over Land Boundary Agreement with Bangladesh. He said, "BJP members went to the border, hoisted the tri-colour and said no portion of Assam land would be given to Bangladesh. Now they are supporting the agreement and are saying that I told the truth.”
