Mild tremor creates panic

A mild earthquake create no less panic in the entire state when it was felt on Friday morning. The tremor was felt in Guwahati also at 5-24 in the wee hours where the denizens started coming down from the high rise buildings fearing collapse.  

According to the seismological survey centre at Shillong, measuring 4. 8 magnitude in Richter Scale, the tremor originated at latitude 27.0 degrees North and longitude 92.5 degrees East, in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. There was, however, no report of any casualty or damage to property.
