The North East United FC played yet another goalless draw with Pune City FC at the packed Indira Gandhi Stadium in Sarusajai on Saturday evening. Despite best efforts both the teams remained undefeated till nine in the evening.
The 0-0 draw has taken Pune FC by 12 points from eight matches. But they still remains in the third spot. The NorthEast United FC stayed in the fifth spot accumulating 10 points from eight matches.
The match started with upper hand for the NorthEast United. During this brief spell of period, they played confidently and timed their attacks without any flaw. Then FC Pune City had to sit deep in their own half.
Focus fell on Midfielder Koke whose powerful passes in the first half could not helped the team score any goal. North East United FC managed to create goal-scoring chances. The visitors also managed to hold on and went into the break with a 0-0 goal.
Despite supremacy, the home team failed to strike any advantage and a few chances eluded finally. The FC Pune City tried their level best to take the advantage. But fell on a stony ground.
