Three arrested

Security forces arrested three persons along with arms from various places in the district of Kokrajhar in the last 24-hours.

Getting on a tiptop information security forces belonging to police and army apprehended two persons along with arms from Cithila bazar under Fakiragram police station on Monday evening when they were on way to Gossaigaon from Kokrajhar.

The arrested were identified as Saidul Mandal of Bandarchara of Basugaon in Chirang and Anowar Ali of Baruapara Kutamari of Kokrajhar and were involved with arms dealing in the district.

A pistol,magazine,two country hand made gun were  recovered from them.

In another incident, Kokrajhar police asrrested a extortinist at Chandamari area under Kokrajhar police station late last evening.

The arrested was identified as Mewai Basumatary alias Manaj of Athiabari Tinali of Serfanguri police station and was arrested at Chandamari while coming to take extortion demand from Dotma.

A pistol,five live bullets,a mobile handset was recovered from him,said a senior police officer in Kokrajhar.
