Wild tusker electrocuted in Udalguri

 

 

In another tragic incident an 25 years old wild tusker has been eletrocuted at Ganeshghat in Majuli tea garden in Udalguri district in November 2 mor ning. According to information the elephant died on spot after it had come in to contact of loosely erected illegal electric fencing meant to keep away wild elephants.Such electric fences have been causing threat to wild elephants. So far six wild elephants lost lives in Udalguri district in 2014.
