Normal life comes to a grinding halt across the state following the 12 hour Assam bandh on Friday. Roads wore a desert look and the shops and markets refused to open as soon as the statewide bandh began at 5 in the morning.
Trains and flight services are, however, are running without any change in the schedule from early this morning. The state transport corporation is running a skeleton services in some places.
Roads in Guwahati city wore a different look when the Bajrang dal sponsored bandh demanding Badaruddin Ajmal’s arrest began.
