Stage set for Jamunamukh bypolls

Amid tight security, Jamunamukh constituency is all set to go to the bypolls on Saturday.

Poll officials have already left for the assigned booths on Friday morning. Voting will begin at 7 in the morning where altogether 165,718 voters will decide on the fate of eight candidates till 5 in the afternoon.

The AIUDF has fielded Abdur Rahim Ajmal, son of AIUDF chief Badaruddin Ajmal.

Congress has put up Bashiruddin Laskar while the BJP has nominated Bilal Uddin for the by-polls. Counting will take place from 8 in the morning on September 16.
