The Assam government has extended Rs 5 crore to Jammu and Kashmir to help the state tide over the floodwaves that killed over 150 people during the last ten days.
Chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday directed the finance department to ensure the assistance at an earlier date in the name of the flood marooned state on Wednesday.
Apart from it, the state has sent a rescue team to Srinagar led by an additional director general of police.
