The entire state observes the birth anniversary of Dr Bhupen Hazarika on Monday three years after the musical maestro passed away. The celebration began early in the morning with several organizations holding special prayers and holding the Bhupendra Sangeet competition throughout the day. The burial site of the legend at the Gauhati University campus is getting a fresh look with the visitors holding huge queue to offer tribute to the Asom Ratna on his birth anniversary. His family members are celebrating at the Nizarapar residence in Guwahati to be attended by hundreds of his fans early in the morning.
