ABWWF demands probe into Priya killing

The All Bodo Women Welfare Federation (ABWWF) organised a protest rally in Kokrajhar and demanded high level inquiry into killing of Priya Basumatary by NDFB(S) suspecting informer to the government on Wednesday last in Chirang district.

Despite heavy shower, hundreds of women activists from federation and BPF women wing participated the rally,which started from KDSA ground right from 11.30 am with banner,festoone,pla-cards and shouted slogans like down with NDFB(S),stop killing women,we want free from miliatncy activity,which was proceeded to DC bunglow via RNB road in Kokrajhar town where the federation was to be submited a memorndum to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi through DC,but DC Nitin Khade did not response and arrive lately in front of his residence bunglow and later the rally again moved to DC office where also DC instructed ADC,PK Bhagawati to recieve memorandum.

The rally expressing displeasure on DC shouted slogans like DC Khade go back,Khade corrupted officer,IAS officer go back,we don’t submit our memorandum to ADC and later left the DC office without submitting memorandum to the DC and decided to submit directly to Chief Minister.

The memorandum also demanded exemplary punishment to the involved criminals,stop atrocities on innocent publics in the anme of nabbing extremist,hold political dialogue with NDFB(S) to meet permanent sloution, and compensate Rs ten lakhs to the keen of Priya Basumatary. 

Pramila Rani Brahma,MLA strongly condemned killing of Priya said atht it was an act of inhuman from militant outfit.She has demanded strong punishment and inquire into killing.

Mithinga Basumatary, president of ABWWF said that giving capital punishment to Priya Basumatary was very concern and human society never compromise with it. She condemned it and demanded stern action against involved cadres from government.
