Ex gratia for victims’ kins

 The Assam Government will pay ex­gratia of Rs 8 lakh each to the next of kin of the victims.

According to information, Dispur has asked the district administration to visit camps to prepare a list of missing persons and correlate the data with the recovered bodies to ascertain if any person was still missing.

The authorities have increased the number relief camps with more and more panic stricken people leaving their homes on Friday. /

A Special Leave Petition under Article 136 of the Constitution of India has been filed in the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India by advocate Arif Jwadder.
