Tension seems to have escalated in Tinsukia district a day after miscreants from Arunachal Pradesh lynched a local youth on Sunday allegedly for falling in love with a girl of the neighbouring state.
According to allegations, identified as Nayan Sharma was killed in Tezu area on Sunday fuelling tension along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh interstate border.
The All Tai Ahom Students Union on Monday threatens to launch a massive protest against the neighbouring state if the police fail to nab the culprits wihin the next three days.
Talking to Assam Times, ATASU leaders said that they won’t tolerate any attack on the Assamese in Arunachal Pradesh.
The student union further has urged the various parties and organizations to come out in protest against the attack.
