Jangostiya Aikhya Manch

A delegation team of the Jangostiya Aikhya Manch,an umbrella organisation of non-Bodos will leave for New Delhi on August 3 next and meeting with Prime Minister and Home Minister to place about prevailing situation of BTAD region of Assam.

Motiar Rahman,General Secretary of the manch while talking exclusively to Assam Times said that the state government is totally failed while maitaining law and order in the region as the common publics are facing several hardships.

He said that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi led Congress government in the state of Assam has totally failed to providing safe and security to the common peoples in the state,especially in BTAD region innocent peoples have to faced several hardhsips in their livings.He has allegged that though social organisation and various parties were intimated all situation on occasions to Chief Minister,yet CM has not been stepping any mesaures to maintaining any law and order in the region,of which why unwanted incidents have to occurred repeatedly among society.

He said that a delegation team of the manch will leave for New Delhi on August 3 next and would meet Prime Minister and Home Minister and to discuss about prevailing situation of BTAD region. He has slammed Chief Minister for his negligence about security mesaures to the publics in the state and demanded stern step from centre itself and held good governence in the council so as to meet healthy environment.

He has also expressed serious concern over the repeatedly arisen of unwanted situations in the council said it is due to the negligence of the government and main involved culprits should be nabbed and punished.

Rahman said that the manch will contest the coming council in its stand which is scheduled next year  and the manch will not be come in alliance with any party or organisation and hope that manch will win in large numbers,he added.

Workshop on Golden langur census organised

A census technique workshop on Golden Langur was organised by Kokrajhar Wildlife division in association with Primate Research centre NE India at Choraikola in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. Hospital wall kills boy

A seven-years-old boy was succumbed to hospital following wall collapsed at Ghoskata Korida Madati sub-centre today in Kokrajhar district. According to family source, the boy identified as Bhim Brahma, son  of Bircharan Brahma of Korida Madati village was received serious injuries following wall collapsed along the newly constructed wall at Korida Madati sub-centre  this afternoon around 1 pm when he was playing with his friends. NDFB(S) cadre killed

Link man arrested

Security forces from Police and Army nabbed a link man of NDFB-Songbijit faction in a joint operation from Mainaguri under Serfanguri PS in Kokrajhar district on Saturday.  The link man was identified as Ila Narzary of Belgudi village. Health camp at Saralpara

A total of 640 patients from greater Saralpara thronged the medical and awareness camp to receive medical check-up on Saturday along the Indo-Bhutan border of Kokrajhar district, was organized by Army unit of Red Horns Division. NSLA cadre arrested

Security forces belonging to police and army apprehended a senior cadre of National Santhali Liberation Army (NSLA) in a joint operation launched today at Shiyalmari area under Serfanguri police station in Kokrajhar. The arrested cadre was identified as Enverest Tudu alias Jambua of Srirampur. He was involved with extortion,terrorist activites in the region. Police arrested two gang of Bike lifter from Gutipara area under Bagribari police station in Kokrajhar district today. A police team of Bagribari police station able to arrest the bike lifter with stolen Bajaj Pulsar 150 cc bike bearing registered no AS- 19G-1932 from a Assam police constable Gulzar Hussain of Salbari village.
