Rains wreak havoc in Guwahati

Normal life in Guwahati has come to a grinding halt because of massive water logging hours after heavy downpour lashed the city on Friday.

Many parts of the city has come under the rainwaters disrupting normal lifeĀ  from the morning. A huge portion of the GS Road RG Baruah Road have been submerged making it difficult for the vehicles to ply on the roads.

Rain waters have further submerged many houses in Chanmari, Lachitnagar, Nabin Nagar, Anil Nagar, Zoo Road, Rupnagar areas where the residents find it difficult to remain inside their houses.

The massive waterlogging hs resulted in a huge traffic snarl in the entire city from Friday morning and if the rain continues the situation would turn grave.
