BJP, AIUDF ask Gogoi to quit

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Saturday evoked sharp criticism a day after Hamren SP Nityanand Goswami and his PSO Ratul Nunisa were killed at an encounter in Karbi Anglong district.

Talking to reporters, a cross section of the people came down heavily on Gogoi for refusing to quite to pave the way for a new one to take over.
Goswami’s family members alleged that the PSOs have handed over Nityananda to the militants.      

AIUDF president Badaruddin Ajmal said that Gogoi should immediately resign owning moral responsibilities . BJP also sharply criticized Gogoi for not resgning after his failure to deal with the situation.
