APCC cancells executive meet

In yet another major development, APCC has cancelled its extended executive body meeting slated for May 29 in Guwahati.

According to sources, APCC wil hold the meeting of the district Congress presidents on May 29 instead of the executive body meeting where AICC observers were scheduled to attend.

The state Congress committee has yet to finalise the new date for holding the crucial meeting to examine the reasons behind the poll debacle and to listen to the dissidents who have been replacement of Tarun Gogi’s resignation as chief minister.

In response to the dissidents’ demands party high command asked AICC observers to listen to the dissidents’ demands after Tarun Gogoi sought Sonia Gandhi’s permission to quit.

Acting on the assurance and announcment , the dissidents agreed to remain calm and have been waiting for the AICC observers.
