Altogether nine people have been injured when a powerful bomb exploded in Tezpur town at around 2-30 on this afternoon. Three of them are in critical. According to information, the blast took place at Bargola, at a distance of 100 meter away from the Tezpur Police station. Eyewitness say the bomb was planted at a bicycle. The injured people have been rushed to hospital. Police and civil officials are there in the spot. But no lead has been achieved so far. Details are awaited.

An unidentified call has created a flutter in the entire Golaghat town on Friday forcing the authorities to beef up security measures. According to information, a Bar Association member Sashanka Tamuly has received an unidentified telephone call at 1 pm on Friday.
