At least 22 people have gone traceless after miscreants set on fire over 50 houses on Friday night.
Twenty four hours have passed since the miscreants launched an attack on Khagrabari village in Salbari sub division. But these people, mostly women and children, have been remaining clueless.
According to information, a group of over 40 armed militants arrived in the tiny hamlet on Friday midnight. Some of them started indiscriminate firing at the villagers while some others set on fire over 50 houses in the absence of security forces.
Some people were believed to have escaped towards Beki river. But only to be shot dead. On Saturday morning at least ten bodies were recovered from the river bank.
