Security forces deployed in BTAD areas have picked up 22 people in this connection with the orgy of paralyzing violence.

Of them, 14 have been picked up in Baksa while 8 others have been apprehended in Kokrajhar during the last 12 hours.

These include a forest ranger who was believed to have involved in the attack on the minority people.

More and more security forces seem to have arrived in Kokrajhar, Chirang, Gossaigaon to deal with the situation.

Senior minister Nilomoni Sendeka is on a stock-taking visit to Kokrajhar and Baksa on Saturday.
