Cong fears EVM manipulation

Assam Congress has lodged a complaint before the poll authorities fearing deployment of doctored electronic voting machines in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The major technical anomalies came to light on Tuesday in Jorhat district where the returning officer conducted training of polling officials with mock polling in full view of the representatives of all political parties.

Taking serious note of it, the ruling party got in touch with the authorities who admitted the technical snag. Apprehending large scale anomalies in the EVMs, the ruling party has asked the poll authorities to ensure error-free poll in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
