Nagaon BJP candidate Rajen Gohain and his AGP counterpart Mridula Borkakoty filed their nominations to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls slated for April 24.
Accompanied by over 500 the sitting MP reached the Nagaon Deputy Commissioner’s office premises at 12-30 in the afternoon where he filed his nomination papers before the returning officer.
On the other hand, accompanied by senior leaders along with many party workers the AGP candidate took out a procession across the Nagaon town for two hours. This was followed by the filing of her nomination papers.
The election in this third phase will take place on April 24 in Nagaon along with Barpeta, Dhubri, Mongoldoi, Kokrajhar.
