Prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh said on Saturday that the people of Assam would get nothing but raw deal if BJP forms the government at the Centre.  

Address a poll rally to campaign for BK Handique and Pawan Singh Ghatowar at Mahmara in Sivasagar on Saturday, Dr Singh said that the entire opposition party is busy with Narendra Modi and that Modi, if made the prime minister, would have no business but the own party and the party men.

According to the prime minister the north east has immense potential for sustainable development and that a stable Congress government is required to tap these potentials.
