Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday that the much-hyped Gujarat model is no longer required in Assam.
In a veiled attack on BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi at a huge rally in Biswanath in Biswanath Chariali on Thursday, Gandhi said that Assam has a model of its own and that the Narendra Modi model has no relevance.
“BJP’s balloon will burst this time also as it happen in 2009. We are confident of victory again,” said Gandhi.
“We gave Assam a new road for development. We gave autonomy. We have development council. We will give more if we are elected again,”” said Gandhi after his appeal to vote for Bhupen Bora in the upcoming Lok Sabbha polls.
