After Kaziranga, the rhino poachers seem to have been pouring in the Pobitora sanctuary.
Two dreaded poachers were killed at a heavy gunbattle with forest guards in the sanctuary on Wednesday. That too only after they killed a one horn animal.
The incident took place in the wee hours near the Tuplung forest camp where forest guards arrived in the spot on hearing the sounds of gun firing.
During the search operation they engaged in a heavy gun fight. Both the poachers died on the spot during the one and a half hour encounter.
