Assamese film industry shining

The state’s first ever TV news channel scripted history on Saturday when it organized a cultural extravaganza to give away the coveted Prag Cine awards in Bangalore.
Veteran litterateur Arun Sharma, Kannada film director Nagathahalli Chandrashekhar and Bolywood film actress Mahima Chaudhary inaugurated the event at a glittering function on Saturday evening.
Actor Adil Hussian received best actor award in the function while the best actress award has gone to Jaya Sheel in the function attended by many film personalities.
