Sonowal files nomination

BJP President Sarbananda Sonowal filed his nomination papers in Lakhimpur on Friday.

Thousands of his supporters took out a huge rally in Lakhimpur to welcome Sonowal to the Deputy Commissioner’s office where the state BJP president submitted his papers before the returning officer.   

Sonowal filed his nomination in the afternoon hours after his Congress rival Uniin minister Ranee Narah filed her nomination papers.
