Guwahati: Altogether eight militants of the Adivasi National Liberations Army (ANLA) were arrested in Sivsagar and Golaghat districts in Assam on Monday. These include the main culprit who was involved in the Rajat Agarwalla’s kidnapping case last month. US Should Abolish H1B Visa To Prevent Reverse Brain Drain

GPC members selected for Defence Correspondent course

Guwahati : The Guwahati Press Club (GPC) has congratulated three of its members for being selected for the Defence Correspondent's Course (DCC), 2007 organized by the Union Defence Ministry. The three journalists — Luit Neil Don of The Sentinel, Sourav Sharma of Hindustan Samachar, and Sanjay Kumar Ray of The Assam Tribune will attend the month-long course commencing from July 15. SIRD claims 4,206 youths benefited through its schemes
