He said that the people want him to continue his voice against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and that he would relent the voice of protest against the controversial Act that ensures Indian citizenship for the non Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

The TMC Assam unit has opposed the draft delimitation proposal published by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday evening.
