Tarun Gogoi back home

Guwahati: Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has left the Guwahati Medical College Hospital on Sunday after undergoing treatment of COVID19 for more than three months.

GMCH doctors and staff bade farewell to the senior Congress leader after the authority declared his full recovery.

Gogoi also thanked the government, doctors and staff for ensuring his recovery.

Gogoi was rushed to the premier north eastern Medical Institute on August 20 after he tested positive.

His condition deteriorated because of post COVID 19 complications and AIIMS director rushed an expert who guided the GMCH doctors.

After Gogoi was admitted health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma set up a panel of experts to look after him.
