Namrup joins International Youth Day celebration

Namrup: On the occasion of the International Youth Day, Maibella Army Camp under the aegis of Dao Division took up an initiative in the Santok area to make the youth aware and educate them. A seminar with the aim of empowering the youth was held at the Santok Community Hall.The event saw an active participation from the locals especially the students. The seminar included a lecture on Personal Hygience by the Medical Officer, a talk on Alcoholism and Child Labour by the Kiran NGO  and a lecture on Swachh Survekshan Gramin by Public Health Department Nazira.The motivational speech by the Maibella Army Camp brought some light upon some key aspects for the development of the youth and informed them about opportunities such as the recruitment rallies that are being conducted by the Army. The speech was aimed at motivating the millennial generation to opt for the rally in large numbers. It also informed them about the importance of missions like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.The event culminated with the folklore live performance by Santak Adolescent Group.
