Midterm State level Poet Convention at Nilbagan

Hojai:-The 15th Midterm State Level Convention of Sadou Asom Kabi Sanmilan is going to be held on September 29 to October 2 with an extensive 4 days programme at Nilbagan under Hojai district. As per a Press release,  Ujjal Powgam,  Secretary  General  of State Sanmilan Program stated that around  50 books on poems will be released on that occasion.He said A number of noted poets and intellectuals of the State including many writers,poets and literateurs from different parts the country will take part in the conference.Also many distinguished poets are going to be conferred with titles at the Sanmilan.  As per the organisers  the conference will establish a bond of unity and integrity. A book fair will also be organised on this special occasion. The members of Sadou Asom Kabi Sanmilan has appealed to all the sections  of the society for their invaluable co-operation to make the event an grand success.

Hojai:- Properties worth more than ₹ 30 lakh reduced to ashes when a devastating fire engulfed 13 shop near Abdul Hasib Higher Secondary School road Charali in Hojai. As Per information, the incident took place early in the morning at around 3:30 am on Sunday. It is suspected that due short circuit this massive fire broke out. It took several hours to extinguish the fire which already ravaged properties worth lakhs of rupees. Around 5 fire fighter's vehicle along with police force reached the spot. There is,however, no loss of human life. Further, investigation is going on.
