Fellowships for Independent Journalists, apply before Dec 15

National Foundation for India (NFI) has run a prestigious media fellowship programme for several decades and this one is particularly for independent journalists.

Through this programme, every three months an amount of Rs 30,000 i provided to up to 25 independent journalists outside the big metros to write one in-depth news, news-feature or news-analysis report. The program will provide editorial support if needed and also help the journalist get published.

This we think will help support good journalism emerging from across the country and also provide media organisations across the country gain from these stories by publishing them.

This quarter the fellowship is opened for only English and in forthcoming quarters we shall open the fellowships to journalists in other languages as well.
