Congress loses two leaders in Assam

In a major setback for the Congress, which has been struggling hard to regain strength since 2014, has today lost two of its prominent faces in Assam.

Sitting MLA of Badarpur, Jamaluddin Ahmed and former MLA of Dergaon Aroti Kachari Hazarika passed away. The Dergaon politican was 59.

The two leaders' deaths were mourned by many including APCC president Ripun Bora, former minister Bismita Gogoi, among others.
