Christmas festivity grips Assam

Guwahati: Midnight carols and special prayers in the churches and the public prayers marked Christmas across the state on Friday.

Following the COVID19 protocols,  people of all walks from the Christians thronged the churches for special prayers on the occasion.

All churches started dazzling from Thursday evening where Christmas tree was decorated with colourful lights that were shining the whole night in the house yards.

Defying a pinching coldwave on Thursday carols echoed in the churches in GS Road, Baptist Church and Guwahati Don Bosco and on Friday prayers were performed in all districts.   Participants,  mostly,  said that they prayed for the kindness of the Jesus in the time of COVID19 endemic.
