Bandh paralise normal life in BTAD

Kokrajhar: Normal life was paralised today n BTAD four districts due to 12-hour Bharat bandh called by All India Congress Committee (AICC) party in protest against repeatedly price hikes on all essential comodities,apart from fuels, LPG cylinders etc.

The bandh received full response in Kokrajhar, heart of BTAD administration and other three districts Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri.

All kinds of road transport communication,bazar,market are seeing off during the bandh which was started from 5am in the morning.

Congress party demanded control and check of repeatedly price hike on essential comodities to pave healthy living for the common citizens.

In Kokrajhar, District Congress Committee took out a protest dharna while supporting the bandh today in front of the Ranendra Bhawan in Kokrajhar that shouted slogans with banner,placards and LPG cylinders showcasing protest of price hikes.

Mankachar MLA Dr Matiur Rahman, APCC general secretary Biswajit Roy,district president Bimal Mandal participated and demanded rolled back of the price hikes across the country.

Dr Rahman criticised the BJP led NDA government for failing to check price hikes on all essential commodities across the country.He said that BJP party has been failed to fulfill hopes and aspiration of the peoples as saffron party promised for healthy paribartan.

Roy alleged that the NDA government has been cheating the nation,that is why today Congress party has been protesting and demanded early control of repeatedly price hikes.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district.
