Hojai:- "Assam Pradesh ManipurI Association(APMA) is going to commemorate 127th Bir Tikendrajit Martyrs Day in befitting manner with one day long activity in Hojai on upcoming 13th August." said President of APMA Advocate Yumnam Nayan Singha while addressing a Press Conference on Thursday at Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Bhawan at New Market in Hojai.
He shared the objective behind observance of this event is preservation of National Peace,Progress and Integrity comprising all the multi-linguistic religious groups of the people of our country. Also, everyone present will observe "Meira-Katpa" at 5:00 PM as a mark of due respect to the patriotic ideals of the departed soul.
General Secretary Laitonjam Akham informed about the scheduled programme and the guest wgo are going to grace the occasion.
The programme will began at morning 7:30 am at Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Bhawan campus with Flag Hoisting by Y Nayan Singha,President of APMA, at 8:00 am Saheed-Tarpan, at 9:00 am a peace rally will be marched out in the town, from afternoon 1:30 onwards open session will began.
Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur Yumnam Joykumar Singh,IPS will grace the occasion as Chief Guest, Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain will grace as Special Guest Of Honour along with other guest of honours and special invitees.
At 6:30 pm Cultural Programme will be inaugurated by MLA of Hojai Shiladitya Deb followed by cultural programme by Cultural Troupe from Manipur,Imphal.
Hojai: The countrywide lockdown has hit hard the farmers in Mainapur, Laskharpathar, Bhimarali, Chikarigate, Amtola, Milikbasti, Daryabasti, Nayanpur, Kaki area in the district.
