Woman died after rape and assault

In a most bizarre incident that tocuhes off a seismic wave of anger, a woman died after she was repeated raped and tortured for 36 hours in Dhubri district.

The incident took place at Koimari in Golokganj when the mother of three children was on the way to her husband’s house where three miscreants kidnapped on June 9 and kept for 36 hours.

They repeatedly raped her and assaulted her for 36 hours before dumping at the roadside. She was rushed to the hospital. But she succumbed to her injuruies on Friday.

Golokganj police have resigtered cases against three accused on the basis of the complaint lodged by the family members. The accused are absconding.
Police investigation is going on to nab the culprits involved in it.
