We want updated NRC

CM Chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday claimed to have expedited the process to update NRC. 

Talking to reporters in Guwahati, he alleged that a section of political leaders has been trying to halt the process to gain political mileage. Indirectly taking on Badaruddin Ajmal, Gogoi said that it would a long way to solve the decade old problem of influx in the state. 

Gogoi's comment assumes significance after the AIUDF boss feared that NRC is a conspiracy against the Muslims.
