Village to village campaign keeps BPF well ahead

Village to village campaign by party bigwigs, including its candidate Dina Nath Das has placed BPF well ahead of all other political parties including congress,AUDF and BJP in Kalaigaon LAC under 8 Mangaldai HPC, particularly in BTAD areas.While speaking to ‘The Assam Tribune’ at Borkola near Kalaigaon, on April 11, BPF candidate Dina Nath Das said that he would prove to be the unchallenged candidate with no close contestants. Answering to a question how was his prospect outside BTAD,he said,he had equally been popular and well known in non BTAD areas like Mangaldai and Sipajhar etc. and would easily get at least five lakhs votes, enough to make him winner.He said that he was assured support by various political,social organizations irrespective of religion and community.


In the meantime all the top ranking BPF leaders have started hectic political activities in various villages of Darrang and Udalguri districts.there by keeping BPF well ahead of other parties including congress,AUDF and BJP. BPF leaders attended a large election rally at Barkola 10 km from Kalaigaon on April 11 at 11 am, which was attended by more than thousand peole.BPF central secretary Jagadish Sarkar while addressing the rally strongly criticized both congress and BJP for their total failure to implement any of their promises while they had been in power for long terms. BPF candidate Dina Nath Das said that although there had been several powerful MPs from Mangaldai,like Sivious Condpan,Anowara Taimur ( former Assam CM) and Birendra Baishya (former union minister) no actual developments were done for the people of Mangaldai.He assured people that he would entrust local committees to utilize MPLAD fund, if voted to power.On the matter of Bangladeshi infiltration, he said that no Indian citizen would be harassed ;but illegal migrants must leave Assam. Maheswar Baro, MLA, Kalaigaon also criticized Madhab Rajbangshi of coingress,Narayan Barkataki of BJP for the introduction commission system through own nominees to utilize funds under MPLAD, keeping common people out of the process.The rally was also attended by Banzar Daimari,MCLA;Dandi Rabha,MCLA and Malati Rani Narzari,member,BPF central policy making body.
