ULFA strikes again; blast at police station

After a brief halt ULFA’s anti-talk faction is trying to make its presence felt forcing the security forces to step in. Suspected ULFA militants night attacked a police station in Sivasagar district with a powerful grenade on Tuesday.


The blast took place at Demow police station at around 8-30 in the evening. There was no casualty but it partially damaged the window panes of the police station.


According to eyewitness, two youths born in motorcycle lobbed the grenade and vanished immediately after the blast.


Security forces, however, have launched operation to nab the culprits.
