Tremor strikes Assam

A moderate tremor struck Assam and it's neighbouring states unleashing panic among the people on Friday. The quake took place at 4:53 in the wee hours when a section of the people came out to the streets in fear. The intensity of the tremor is still not known. There is, however, no report of any lose and casualty.

According to the US Geological survey, the tremor had 5.4 magnitude in the Rickhter scale and the epicentre was along the Indo-Myanmar border.
