Trader kidnapped

After a brief lull, terror seems to have revisited Karbi Anglong district where a local businessman has been kidnapped at gunpoint.

The incident took place on Monday night when armed miscreants kidnapped a local businessman from his residence in Rajbari area in the hills district.

Identified as Bijay Das, he was running a wine shop in the area. A combing rescue operation is in progress to rescue Das.
