Teachers Day observed centrally at Nazira

On September 5 Sivasagar district administration also observed the teachers day in association with the Nazira Civil Administration centrally at M.C. Club of Nazira town. The programme is started by lightening of lamp by the additional deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar. After it the inaugural song is performed by the students of Nazira Girls Higher secondary School. The subject of the meeting is described by Niroda Doley Pegu, the Inspector of School, Sivasagar. Then Abdul Jalil, district elementary education officer has honoured Patit Pawan Das, Ex. Vice Principal of Sivasagar College with Pragya Pranoti and Guru Mohian title. In this function total 35 teachers are honoured as Kriti Sikshsk. Sarat Saikia, Parliamentary Secretary of Education and Syed Mohamed Mohsin, retired English lecturer of Nanda Saikia College of Titabor delivered their speeches as honoured guest and special guest. In this meeting book, “ Akhmor prasin Kirti Chinho aru abhayarany ahomuhor nirdekhona” written by noted writer and retired teacher Padma Borgohain is released by Birendra Mittal, Civil S.D.O. of Nazira Sub-division, who also presided the meeting.

The teachers day also observed by the Mothiasiga Jyoti Natya Samaj at Mothiasiga Natya Mandir. Total 12 teachers are felicitated in this occasion. In relation with the day fine arts and essay competition also arranged among the students. The public meeting is held under the presidentship of Puspa Gogoi national level award winning noted teacher Deva Phukon. Drupod Borgohain , M.L.A. of Nazira Constituency and Mr. Gohin Gogoi, noted national level award winning noted teacher are present as Special guest and honoured guest.
