Tackling horse trading

Amid the alleged attempt of horse trading in the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls, altogether 21 intellectuals have written to Congress leadership to help the Opposition elect a member to the upper House.

In a joint letter signed by these people including Nalinidhar Bhattacharya, Tilak Hazarika, Dr Anima Guha, Nirupoma Borgohain have urged Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi to leave a seat for the Opposition consensus candidate.
