Speaker Das supports scribe’s protection law

Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Ranjit Kumar Das supports a special protection law for scribes on duty. Interacting with the media persons at Guwahati Press Club on 27 September, the Speaker also emphasized on an insurance coverage to all media employees of the State.

Organized by the Electronic Media Forum Assam (Emfa) and titled ‘Prangon, the Emfa’s Courtyard’, the program witnessed the soft spoken journalist turned politician speaking from his heart to the participants. Speaker Das also expressed hope that the new government at Dispur would fulfill its promises for the benefit of the people of Assam. He also expected the media’s support in various welfare activities carried out by the Sarbananda Sonowal government of Assam.
