Singh files nomination

Despite widespread resentment in the rank and file of Congress, Sanjay Singh filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha poll slated for February 7.

Singh submitted his nomination papers in presence of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita along with several ministers and Congress leaders before returning officer Gauranga Prasad Das. Singh is the party’s first choice candidate.
