Caught in a controversy, Dispur has replaced the state secondary education board chairman a day after the organization failed to issue the HSLC market sheets.

Senior IAS officer Thaneswar Malakar on Tuesday replaced Minakhi Sundaram as SEBA chairman a week after the HSLC results were announced without issuing the market sheets.

Sundaram was replaced when he differed with education minister Sarat Barkataky on several occasions earlier.
