SC panel suggests influx probe

A one-man panel has suggested the Supreme Court to set up a high level commission to unearth the truth behind the procurement of identify proofs by a section of Bangladesh infiltrators

In its final report the Upamonyu Hazarika Commission on Saturday expressed grave concern over the manner in which the immigrants can manage identify proofs immediately after infiltration from across the border.

The Supreme Court set up the panel to visit areas along the international border with Bangladesh and submit a report.
He said the real NRC would identify the citizens.
