AASU adviser Dr. Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharya finally cleared his position two days after Tapan Gogoi and Shankar Prasad Ray joined BJP. 

Talking to reporters in Golaghat on Wednesday, the adviser said joining active politics is a personal thing and that he has hardly anything to do. “The duo join BJP after their tremendous contribution for AASU. But I personally can say that AASU will never compromise the greater interest of Assam and its people,” said Dr Bhattacharya.
