Rigging expose: CEO gets tougher

Chief Election Officer on Saturday has suggested the Election Commission to conduct repolling at a booth in the outskirt of Guwahati acting on the allegations of vote rigging by a VDP member on Thursday.

The assurance came to AGP and BJP delegations after the CEO came to see a footage produced before him to substantiate the allegations of rigging.

The entire incident took place at Bornijora polling booth in full view of the presiding and polling officers which came to light after a private satellite news channel beamed the story with exclusive visuals of how a VDP member pressed the EVM button on behalf of a section of voters.
